Use Our Planner for an Optimal Journey to Zurich (ZRH)

Have you booked your parking spot at Zurich Airport? Excellent! Enter your home address and the address of the Parkos parking lot you chose. Our route planner will instantly generate the fastest and simplest itinerary for you. It's important to plan your departure to arrive calmly, as Swiss motorways, while efficient, can experience traffic peaks during rush hours.

    Road Access and Main Routes

Zurich Airport is very well-connected to the national and international road network. The main routes are:

    • **From Bern/Basel:** Take the A1 motorway in the direction of Winterthur/St. Gallen.
    • **From the South/Lucerne:** Take the A4, then the A1/A51 ring road towards the airport.
    • **From Central Zurich:** Follow the main road and signage towards Kloten/Airport.

    The Motorway Vignette (Vignette)

Important reminder: to drive on Swiss motorways and expressways (including access to the airport), your vehicle must display a **valid annual motorway vignette**. Make sure to purchase one before entering the network, as fines for non-compliance are high.

Practical Tips and Driving Rules in Switzerland

    Refuelling

Fuel is generally available, but prices in Switzerland are often higher than in France or Germany. It may be wise to fill up before crossing the border if you are coming from abroad.

    Speed Limits

In Switzerland, speed limits are strictly enforced:

    • **Motorway (Autobahn):** 120 km/h
    • **Expressway (Autostrasse):** 100 km/h
    • **Outside built-up areas:** 80 km/h
    • **In built-up areas:** 50 km/h

Fines for speeding are particularly severe in Switzerland. Be very attentive to signs!

    Roadside Assistance

In case of a breakdown or accident, safety is paramount. Pull over to the hard shoulder, put on your reflective vest, and use an emergency call box on the motorway to contact emergency services (117 for the police, 140 for TCS/Roadside Assistance).
