Travel directions to Orio al Serio Airport

You have booked your parking and are ready to go. Great! To avoid last-minute stress, it is essential to know the best route. Bergamo Airport is located in a high-traffic area, so planning your drive is key.

If you are arriving via the **A4 motorway** (Milan-Venice), the airport is well signposted. However, to reach most Parkos shuttle parking partners, we strongly recommend taking the **Seriate** exit instead of the main Bergamo exit. This allows you to bypass city traffic and quickly reach the Grassobbio industrial zone where most parking facilities are located.

Here are estimated driving times in normal traffic:

Milan -> Orio al Serio: 54 km / approx. 50 min
Turin -> Orio al Serio: 182 km / approx. 2 hours
Bologna -> Orio al Serio: 245 km / approx. 2 hours 30 min
Venice -> Orio al Serio: 228 km / approx. 2 hours 45 min

    Car preparation and useful tips

Before entering the A4, make sure your vehicle is in perfect condition. A quick check of your oil level, windscreen washer fluid, and tyre pressure can prevent unpleasant emergency stops. Do not forget to check your spare wheel as well.

The motorways leading to Bergamo are all toll roads. Keep your payment method handy (cash, credit cards, or Telepass) to speed up your passage at the toll booth.

    Refuelling

You will find numerous service stations along the A4, but prices tend to be higher than on regular roads. If you want to save money, we suggest filling up in your local area before you leave. LPG is widely available, but always check the opening hours of pumps off the motorway.

What to do in a breakdown

If your car breaks down, stay calm. Pull over into the emergency lane or a lay-by, put on your reflective vest (mandatory in Italy), and place your warning triangle. For roadside assistance in Italy, you can contact the ACI at 803 116. If you are on the motorway, you can also use the orange SOS phones.

    Speed limits and cameras

There are numerous electronic speed checks ("Tutor" system) on the A4. Always respect the limits: 130 km/h on the motorway, 110 km/h on main extra-urban roads, and 50 km/h in built-up areas near the airport.
